Course Offerings in Universal Design for Learning at GW University

Untitled

Graduate courses in Universal Design for Learning (UDL) are offered each  Fall (online) through GW’s Graduate School of Education and Human Development. Dr. Fran Smith, CVE teaches this course. National experts in UDL are invited to share their UDL understandings and expand towards this richness of learning.

  • SPED 6210: This course is offered in two ways: (1) A Summer Offering as a Blended model of 1 week face-to-face instruction and 5 weeks online; and (2) A Fall UDL course offering that is completely online and spans 15 weeks. Students engage in the course materials, discussions, readings and resources through traditional face-to-face instruction (Blended Summer Course) and the university’s Blackboard course management system. National UDL experts are included in this model and engage with students in their discovery and understanding of UDL
